About this model

This Antefix fragment is of Etruscan origin, and was created in the late 6th Century BC. It would have been shaped in a mould, dried, fired and finally painted in the colours that have survived to the present day. An Antefix was a decorative plaque from the end of an edge cover tile of a buildings roof, most probably that of a temple.
